While reading Susan Sontag's On Photography, I became increasingly interested with the way she views photography. In one instance she says; Photographs furnish evidence. Something we hear about, but doubt, seems proven when we're shown a photograph of it. In one version of its utility, the camera record incriminates." Sontag explains that photos capture the moment in time. Therefore, when I took my picture I decided to do some more research on Susan Sontag. I am someone who loves to consume knowledge and think of myself as someone who retains that information. A self portrait of Sontag inspired me to do something similar. I love the idea of learning new things and being surrounded by knowledge this photo fits perfectly with that. Sontag agreed and I tried to recreate that moment.
