In "The Cindy Sherman Effect" they mention how "Sherman's coup was to cast herself as subject matter, making each of her staged characters a star of an implicit narrative" and "Cindy Sherman opened a lot of doors. She was the trendsetter in terms of distorted characters within self portraiture".
I like the idea of making a picture create its own narrative and letting the viewer take the image and try and make their own story or trying to find something behind the image so I decided to go with dressing up a bit and taking a picture that is odd or weird in its own way in hopes of letting others try and think of a story that they might be able to see within the image itself, I was also inspired by looking through her works of her putting on these wigs and costumes and even playing around with dolls to create there strange pictures that can very well be a story of their own. I myself love to dress up and play around with outfits and wigs so I found it something fun and enjoyable to do.
