A photo allows us to view a history we didn't know about

In Susan Sontang's excerpt " On Photography" an quote that really caught my attention was "To collect photographs is to collect the world." When reading it the first time I thought about how viewing or collecting photos allows us to view the history of an era or a person's life, which gives us an insight of that countries or person's world. Taking that idea/ interpretation I decided to take this photo of me holding photos of myself when I was younger with my family. This goes along with the concept of  allowing you to see a part of my history, a part that constructed my world when growing up. Just like how Susan quoted, photos are a records of our lives, from start to finish, which is something our next generation can collect and see for themselves, a world before they were even born.
