My favorite quotes from Susan Sontag is "To collect photographs is to collect the world", and " Photographs really are experience captured, and the camera is the ideal arm of consciousness in its acquisitive mood". These are also the quotes where my inspiration comes from for this photograph. Taking photos is sometimes like gathering pieces of your life, some important places or people, and even a particular thing that one's intend to keep it in mind. However, instead of taking with you all the time, sometime is better for one's to take it as a photo, which is a lot easier to memorize and keep. As a result, I took this picture with one of my roommates that I had live with him for two years; His name is Joe, we live in the same city back in our country, and during these two years we take care of each other and watch each other's back. The T-shirt that we wore was actually a coincidence, and we wore this on the same day. Such bonding between us is strong and worth remembering, and when we graduate and separate we will have a chance to look at the past and remind us how close we were, which apply to the idea of Sontag that photographs really are experience captured, and that's also why I titled it as "Moments", because for me, this is a moment that I will definitely take it to heart.
